“It amuses me to no end how Transformers (a show marketed at young boys) is being watched mainly by adult women, while My Little Pony (a show marketed towards young girls) is being watched mainly by adult men.”

This.  :)
And no one can tell me Transformers Prime isn’t geared toward the ladies.  I’ve NEVER seen a show that has such sexual body movements and language in it.  Seriously, I will never forget the moment Knock Out entered to talk to Starscream for the first time in his intro episode.  My eyes were glued to his hips and their sexy sway.

Breakdown’s past and conflict with Bulkhead, my headcanon

I’ve been reading a lot on Tumblr about people’s theories/headcanons on the background of Breakdown and the Breakdown/Bulkhead conflict.

And here’s mine!

I’m actually working on getting this all written up into a rather lengthy bit of fanfiction but at the moment time is not on my side and won’t be for a good month or two or longer.  But here’s the layout.

(I’m taking all kinds of liberties and incorporating a lot)

Breakdown was brought online long LONG after the war started.  He was created by Shockwave.  He was one of five created for the sole purpose of giving an edge to the Decepticons by being the first fully functioning gestalt.  And they were, briefly.  Unlike previous experimental groups, they could combine successfully.  But they couldn’t stay combined.  The bond existing between the five of them was seriously weak.  This weak bond brought about a dysfunctionality between them that couldn’t be fixed and violence quickly erupted within the group (which shouldn’t happen with a healthy strong bond).

Though the group was deemed a failure, Megatron wasn’t willing to dispose of able-bodied individuals who could fight.  Unfortunately, a host of mental issues plagued  the group with Breakdown being deemed the only one “fit” for integration into Decepticon ranks.  Breakdown is actually happy about this, the members of his group tend to exacerbate his own mental/emotional issues but with their absence and the already weak bond closed tight on his end, he can actually interact and appear normal.

He’s given a menial job, patrol, something he couldn’t really “screw up” and doesn’t require a tremendous amount of responsibility.  Breakdown preforms perfectly, after all, he’s a follower not a leader.

It’s after he’s been working patrol for sometime he accidently meets Knock Out.  This meeting quickly escalates into a relationship, one Breakdown honestly believes will be short lived.  After all, Knock Out’s not known for his monogamy.  However Knock Out is thrilled he’s finally found someone who listens to him, does what he says, when he says it, and exactly how he says it.  The added bonus being he genuinely enjoys Breakdown’s company.

“I think Knock Out is very handsome and it bothers me that some people in the fandom only ever draw him in sexual situations like being raped or dominated by Breakdown or something. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it, trust me. But I think he’s just too pretty for that~”

I never see Knock Out as the prey/victim/submissive.  To me he comes off as too fast, too calculating, and too sadistic to be the “weaker one”.  Knock Out’s a predator in my eyes.

Breakdown’s trip to work!

I took Breakdown with me into work today because a friend of mine wanted to see him.  It was fun!  Breakdown was a very helpful little guy.

I took my eye off him for a few moments as I was gathering up my things to leave, when I heard a cry for help.  I turned to find Breakdown trying to stuff mini Bayverse Optimus into my lunch bag…apparently with the intent of giving him to Knock Out as a gift.  No, Breakdown!  We don’t kidnap!  And we don’t smuggle innocent Optimus Primes to Knock Out.

I gave him some candy to give to Knock Out instead….after all, Breakdown couldn’t come back from his trip without a gift for Knock Out.

Here, let me introduce you to TFP’s worst figure ever….or thus far.

Posting these so others may learn and not waste their money as I have.
